Primaris Inceptors
The Inceptors join the fray!
The yellow marines are much less daunting when painted in small batches. I think it only took about two weeks of painting on and off to get through these guys. I've got my system down, so there wasn't a lot of "problem solving" to do along the way, and even the embossed shoulder pads gave me less trouble this time around.
Here are the troopers:
I painted the squad leader's helmet as a veteran sergeant:
The basing worked out pretty well, and the attachment points are nice and snug.
I only have about five Intercessor marines and a couple characters left from the starter set, so I'll knock them out eventually. For now, I think I'll get back to the Skaven tower that I've been neglecting since January. I also need to paint those vampires...
'Til next time!
Those guys look great! The gunmetal instead of black for the "assault heavy bolters" (eyeroll) is a good choice as it makes the figures seem more like pieces of heavy machinery.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I generally don't paint colored cowling on weapons. Just dark metal or black.
