  1. I'm in love with the Ork Skrapyard....
Cool as heck! Never got around to playing Gorka Morka much, but I guess this is the kind of terrain that should have been played on.

    Love the Rokkit!

  2. Fantastic work and I have to agree with Tomas. The Orc Skrapyard has so many clever details and personality, it makes me want to start an Orc army. Well done and thanks for sharing!

  3. That Skrapyard is amazing! I'll have to use it as a source of ideas when I'm working on some new terrain pieces.

  4. One of the best terrain pieces I've ever seen! I'm going to steal your idea of making flooded trenches. However my wife said that your sandbags must have been made of broad beens (and I disagree with her!) ;).

  5. Thanks Maniex! The sandbags are sculpted with Aves Epoxy Sculpt. The burlap texture was achieved by rolling my finger over the top while wearing a fabric band-aid.

  6. Just out of curiosity, did you make a mold and cast all those bags or did you really sculp them on the board?

I really like the almost realistic aproach of your terrain. In my opinion that style fits to tapletop gaming perfectly!

    1. I made a "master" for each section of trench with sandbags and the firing platform. Each of those pieces were resin cast and fit together along the length of the table. And then some sandbags were sculpted on top to hide the joins between the sections.

Thanks! Glad you like my work!

  7. Rob, it's like everything you touch turns to miniature gold. You're an amazing artist. I wish I had half your talent.

  9. First off - your work is amazing; incredible building.

For your No Mans Land Board -

How did you complete the water effect? Did you use a product like Realistic Water? What paint ( or paints ) did you use to get that great green swampy color?

    Thanks so much.

    1. Thanks! I use Envirotex Lite for the water effects. I think the color was a mix of GW Camo Green with a little brown (it was a long time ago). You only need to add a drop or two, otherwise it will become too opaque.
