Ushabti Archers
It took forever, but my Ushabti Archers are finished at last!

Looking back at my Bowshabti Blitz post, it's kind of a miracle that I was able to finish painting one of these in a single day (it was about 12 hours of painting), because the next five seemed to take much longer. But they're finished and ready to rain death upon the enemies of Khemri!

I covered the conversion of these models in that Bowshabti Blitz post, so I'm not going to say too much about these models and let the photos speak for themselves. Suffice to say, I already broke one of the arrowheads while painting because the two that are loading their bows have the arrowhead sticking out further, and the thin arrow shaft are pretty brittle.

I think the vulture head is my favorite. I'm not sure what the one with the longer snout is supposed to be– maybe a dog or jackal? I think the skulls are supposed to be cat, jackal, and vulture.

I made sure to give them all kopesh hand weapons, but I'm not sure how they'll do in combat. I guess, since they have the same profile as the melee ushabti, they should do fairly well, they'll still make three attacks each, but they won't have the extra strength bonus. But these are archers, so theoretically they shouldn't be fighting in combat at all, but it's nice to know they can hold their own (and stand and shoot) if they get charged.

I can't wait to unleash these on the battlefield!

'Til next time!
