After working on my Tomb Kings for about a year, I've finally reached my first milestone: 1000 points.
Leading the army are the Tomb Prince Selketta and the army's Hierophant Omentet the Librarian.
The backbone of the army is formed by this regiment of skeleton warriors from Axiris' Skull Brigade (Axiris was one of the heroes in my Warmaster army. A 28mm model of him is yet to come; he's likely going to be built as a Tomb Herald.)
Supporting the skeletons are Selketta's retinue of archers, bearing his scorpion imagery. These guy are really what ate up all of my painting time. Their clothing and equipment took forever to paint, but it was so worth it because I love how they turned out.
The horse archers and tomb scorpion are also under Selketta's command. I'm building this army with most of the units themed to fall under the command of different characters, themed with one of the skull, serpent, or scorpion motifs. (Scorpion units are Selketta's, Skull units are led by the herald Axiris, and Serpent units will be led by the forthcoming liche priest Settisis.)
Rounding out the roster is the necrolith colossus that I painted back in 2019.
I've already got the next batch in progress– Another tomb scorpion and a Necrotect. Along with some magic items, those two models will bump the army up to 1250 points. After that, I'm thinking of adding Necropolis Knights. I've had my eye on that unit since they were first released back during Warhammer 8th Edition, and they will be a nice way to kick off the army's Serpent Brigade.
